NFL owners opt not to adopt new rule for the next season
The NFL did not take action on the proposal to extend the modified death overtime policy to the neat season at their spring meetings on Tuesday.
The league adopted the new rules for postseason play in Ma who said the league would consider adopting the policy for the regular season, but wanted to study it more before making a decision.
Owners declined to take a vote on such a change at their Dallas meetings.

New York Giants is certainly master of the post-draft again this year.
The Giants seem content to mine the ranks of the undrafted and undiscovered - more so than any other team in the NFL, at least. The six undrafted players currently on their roster average three more starts than those of the Chargers, the next best team in terms of getting production from undrafted players. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers goe the worst value out of their undrafted players, as the 13 averaged fewer than one start since joining the team.
Guard Rich Seubert, another undrafted player, has been a full-time starter the past three years, and undrafted center Shaun O'Hara, who originally chose to sign with the Cleveland Browns instead of the Giants, is a captain and nine-year starter who has played in the Pro Bowl.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the accident or where it took place.
Taylor, who played his entire career with Big Blue and won two Super Bowls, was quickly released on $500 bond.
Taylor twice tested positive for cocaine during his playing days, and was arrested two times after he retired for buying drugs from undercover cops.
The former grid great was in the news recently after he competed on "Dancing with the Stars" last spring.

New York Giants Fewell change a new style
Perry Fewell brings intensity and a new style. He likes to employ the ball around the 30-yard-line and the whole defense immediately forms a convoy and sprints toward the back of the end zone.
London Fletcher remembers this drill all too well. He played just one season under Fewell with the Buffalo Bills in 2006, but the Washington Redskins middle linebacker credits Fewell with making him a better player. Fletcher flourished under Fewell's direction and he thinks the Giants defense will do the same this season.
Last weekend at Giants rookie minicamp, the team's new defensive coordinator made his presence known by lacing into a couple of rookies and undrafted free agents.
"Some coaches will be laid back," Fletcher said by telephone. "He is not like that at all. He doesn't care where you are from as far as a status standpoint, or how many Pro Bowls you have been to. He is going to challenge you every day to practice harder than before. Every day he is going to be out there coaching, yelling, screaming and encouraging."

The Dallas Cowboys held their rookie mini-camp over the past weekend. As expected, people all centered on new addition Dez Bryant. Bryant's presence. Some news are good, some bad, some really unimportant.
For three days, first-round draft pick Dez Bryant was everything the Cowboys had hoped him to be. Not only did he catch just about every pass that was thrown in his direction - and even a few that weren't really that close - Bryant was head and shoulders above the rest of the rookies.
Let's start with the good. By all accounts, Bryant shined at camp - performing exactly as expected for a player with 'top of the draft' talent.
"Dez Bryant is an absolute talent," Phillips said after Sunday's practice at Cowboys Stadium. "You don't get to be around too many players that come in and look that good that early. In 33 years, there's not many that I can say have looked that talented at their position for a three-day period. We're pleased with him . . . and he was on time for everything."

NFL’s oldest player Feagles retires from Giants
The 44-year-old New York Giant player Jeff Feagles announced his retirement on Friday after a league-record 352 consecutive games. He is NFL’s oldest player and now he will take off new york giants jersey.
After 22 NFL seasons, Jeff Feagles still had the desire and passion to play. His body didn’t.
Feagles spent his last seven seasons with the Giants. He also played for New England, Philadelphia, Arizona and Seattle. One of a remaining few directional punters in the league, he had a 41.6-yard career gross average and a 35.9-yard net average.
The decision was made a little less than two weeks ago while he ate breakfast with his wife, Michelle.
Feagles never missed a game in his career, although he came close twice. He broke the radial head of his elbow on his drop hand in Seattle making a tackle but played through it. While with the Giants, he also was questionable for his 300th game because of a knee injury. It was a game he had no intention of missing.
“I just got out of bed and the good Lord told me and sent me a sign that day and said: ‘You know what? You’re done! You’re finished!” Feagles said. “I just didn’t feel good. My back was hurting. My knee was starting to swell up again and I said to myself I can’t do this anymore. That’s when I decided to start the coffee pot. It was quick.”
We will pay our honor to him and hope he can find second career and live better.
