Raiders started training camp with new starting quarterback
As the Oakland Raiders let 2007 first overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell go to enjoy his time of collecting oher jersey, they had to name a new starter for the training camp and even the upcoming new season. Well, the team now without Russell seems to have only one choice: former Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell, who was acquired in an offseason trade a few days before Russell left Oakland in a Boldin jersey.
While Russell brought only disappointment and losses to the Raiders, Campbell, the terrell davis jersey fan, seemed to have lit up the team’s hopes for wins. The 2005 first-round draft pick has more experience than Russell, and more importantly, more wins than the other davis jersey. At least, Campbell has never been called a big draft pick bust.
“I feel we’ve got a good guy, a dependable guy, a guy who’s going to work hard, who will be there for us every day,” receiver Chaz Schilens in a shannon sharpe jersey said Thursday. “He’s not going to shy away from anything. You know what to expect. You know where the balls are going to be. That’s really all you can ask for as receivers, a dependable guy that’s going to go out and work hard every day. So we have that now.”
Starting as many as 52 games for the Redskins during the past four seasons, Campbell is also happy to play important role with his new team. He is coming off his best season with a 64.5 percent completion rate along with 20 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and a passer rating of 86.4. But as the Redskins still lost the chance to enter playoffs with only 4 regular-season wins last season, Campbell was still cut by the Redskins, who made a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles and got a more reliable quarterback in Donovan McNabb, an elway jersey fan. While McNabb promised to try his best to bring his new team a Super Bowl title, Campbell has much less chance to improve the Raiders a lot. But at least, he is anyway better than Russell, who is yet to receive any new contract from a team and is still practicing here and there often in a knowshon moreno jersey.
