Sweatt refused to accept the initial offer of Leafs
Tomas Kaberle remains as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs jersey since the day 15 August past, no one has idea on what kind of contract the Leafs will provide him since he was on the trade without his own approval, and here is the case for Billy Sweatt in Sundin jersey.
Toronto acquired Sweatt’s rights from Chicago in the offseason trade that sent Kris Versteeg to the Leafs jerseys. Sweatt, a 6-foot speedster, was the Blackhawks’ second-round pick in 2007.
Bad feelings arose when Sweatt in Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and agent Scott Norton didn’t accept Burke’s initial offer. The decision promoted the GM to suggest a more experienced representative would have reached an agreement. Burke in Phil Kessel jersey compounded the rift by withdrawing Toronto’s offer. He told the Toronto Sun on Saturday that he, the best friend in Kessel jersey wasn’t reconsidering.
“We’ve never said no to the Leafs, but they pulled the offer,” Norton in Dion Phaneuf jersey told the newspaper. "It was a bit unfair of Brian to make it personal. I’ve been in this business 17 years and I like to think this isn’t my first barbecue.”
Norton is confident he’ll get calls about Sweatt in Phaneuf jersey, starting Monday.
“My advice to Billy now, with all due respect, is to look at every other Tom, Dick and Harry coming out of college who is getting interest. Nothing Billy in Mats Sundin jersey has done, from being on the U.S. under-18 team (in 2004 and 2005) to the day he left Colorado (College) has made anyone think he won’t be a sure NHLer with great speed and forechecking ability.”
Sweatt will remain as a member of the Leafs too just as the same case with Tomas Kaberle.
