Portland trail blazers has no intention to release contract with Rudy Fernandez

According to Rudy Fernandez’s agent, Rudy Fernandez in blazers jersey wants to be traded. He likes the idea of playing in Europe.

In other breaking news, the sun rose in the east this morning, the Dali Lama is non-violent, bears do their thing in the woods, and boiled okra is the worst food on the planet.

There is nothing remotely new about Fernandez in karl malone jersey being unhappy in Portland or wanting to be traded. Or be allowed to go play in Europe. Or that he remains stuck in Portland as they have his contract are not giving it up easily.

Blazers GM Rich Cho said in stockton jersey Thursday he has no plans of releasing Rudy Fernandez from his contract.

Cho also said he'd "make the best decision for the organization," and it appears that Rudy in chamberlain jersey has played his last game for the Blazers. This is also great news for guys like Wesley Matthews in lamar odom jersey and Luke Babbitt in ron artest jersey, who should see some extra minutes if Fernandez is suspended, traded or sent packing for Europe.

Jason Quick in andrew bynum jersey of The Oregonian reports that Rudy Fernandez won't report to training camp and has "no intention" of honoring the final two years of his contract with the Blazers. According to Quick, Fernandez has no problem being suspended by the Blazers and sitting out until he can return to Spain in 2012. It's possible that this is one last effort to leverage the Blazers into dealing him elsewhere, but it's also possible that we've seen the last of Fernandez in pau gasol jersey playing hoops for the next two years.

"Portland and I have had numerous discussions, almost daily, on the situation," Andy Miller told HoopsHype.com. "I think this situation is headed for a collision course because Rudy's perspective on where he wants to be and what he wants to do and how he wants to accomplish it is on the opposite of the spectrum from where Portland sees the situation.

"I don't think (the relationship) is reparable." And when asked if he would go as far as to advice Fernandez not to show up for training camp, Miller answered: "Possibly."

Miller in chris paul jersey goes on to overstate Fernandez's value (saying he was one of the top players in the NBA) and up the rhetoric ante like agents are wont to do.

That doesn't move Portland the front office at all. It does make Fernandez sound like a whiner to the people of Portland, who are turning on him.
